Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) is a charity and social service agency which advocates for the early detection of breast cancer and supports the breast cancer community in Singapore. Established since 1997, BCF actively raises awareness on breast cancer through talks, events and publications that advocate for early detection through regular screening. BCF also supports those affected by breast cancer through various programmes, support groups and befriending activities. These help to provide ongoing care, assistance and psychosocial support.

About The Role

Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) is looking for a strong leader who can steer and manage the Programmes, Volunteers and Membership Department in BCF with the goal of serving our breast cancer community better. The role requires you to build a connected and active group of BCF members, a strong pool of BCF volunteers and befrienders, as well as a great and unique stable of BCF programmes.

This role requires you to be able to do the following areas well:

• Strategic planning and resourcing of programmes in line with the vision and mission of the organisation
• Evaluate and enhance membership, volunteer, programmes practices, policies and processes
• Develop volunteer management framework and build up volunteer culture
• Develop strategic community programmes and partnerships
• Services and support transformation
• Relationship-building with all members and volunteers
• Lead a small department
• Identify gaps and opportunities for growth to serve our members and the community better
• Work with relevant colleagues to identify and implement IT systems for membership or volunteer data analysis and impact management
• Any other areas as identified by the Management

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

*Familiarity with volunteer or membership management IT software
*Experience with developing, managing, and tracking programmes and activities

Core Competencies:

*Good interpersonal and people management skills to work with people from diverse backgrounds
*Good collaborative and stakeholder management skills to work across disciplines and sectors

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

*At least 5 years of working experience in the social service sector will be an advantage
*Strong leadership, analytical, problem solving, and planning skills Proven ability to lead and manage a team very well
