About The Role

1. Clinical and Leadership Responsibilities
• Oversees different Intervention Programmes to suit the needs of the individual students
• Capable of decision-making and critical thinking and judgment in clinical and operational matters
• Provide professional supervision to all staff
• Involve in policy making and departmental operations
• Develop and disseminate relevant psychology programmes
• Participate in projects that involve cross-department interface
• Liaise network with agencies and professionals from other agencies
• Develop standard operating programme (SOP) for Psychology department

2. Training and Support
• Conduct in-service workshops for parents or caregivers for all programme
• Conduct training for staff for all programme

3. Administration
• Prepare annual budget for Psychology department
• Keep proper records of all departmental resources (such as, man-hour allocation, policy, budget, SOP, supervision notes, work plan, inventory, training, etc)
• Review SOP periodically
• Participate actively in sub-committee meetings or Projects (such as, programmes, HOD and Staff Retreat etc) or any ad-hoc project

4. Research
• Participate in research and programme evaluation projects

5. Other Assignments
• Undertake any other responsibilities and duties as deemed necessary and beneficial for the Association to attain its Mission and Vision.

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

• Must have registration with the Singapore Register of Psychologists
• An advantage if you are holding or are eligible for a valid registration, license or practicing certificate with an established or recognized psychological professional body such as APA, APS or BPS

Core Competencies:

• A Master or Doctorate Degree in Educational or Clinical or Neuro Psychology
• At least 5-8 years relevant work experience in the same or related field
• He or she should have significant expertise in their field of psychology as well as the ability to provide sound professional supervision

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

• A mature individual who is capable of decision-making, critical thinking and judgment in clinical and operational matters
• He or she must have a strong leadership, management and consultation skills
