Through our Community & Youth Services (CYS) Division, and management of the Singapore Boys’ Hostel (SBHL) and the Community Rehabilitation Centre (CRC), Trybe provides youth with guidance and offer support for their families and communities by engaging them in our services spanning across developmental, prevention, intervention and rehabilitation work.

About The Role

1. Oversees development, design and delivery of school programmes/engagement
• Provides direction and supervision for design and programme development for schools
• Ensures the delivery of programmes achieve programme objectives, learning outcomes and meet the service standards stipulated
• Oversees the coordination of volunteers’ involvement and engagement in programmes and other platforms
• Monitors and reviews programmes’ evaluation process
• Works with Division Head on governance and financial management

2. Identifies and spearhead the development of strategic niche and product offering in the area of youth development (at-risk youths) and having a systemic view (employment, education and family relationships)
• Develops the strategies for areas of development with the Division Head
• Develops proposals and source for funding

3. Oversees development and management of staff
• Assess competencies and coach staff to manage various aspects of youth work
• Plans for and sends staff for formal training and courses.
• Sets developmental goals, monitor and evaluate staff growth through appraisals
• Oversees Human Resource aspects of staff within the department

4. Oversees sales, marketing and account management services for programmes/services
• Leads and supervises staff in connecting with clients, understanding the needs and recommending further areas of work with the stakeholders

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

• Possess relevant experience working with youths with relevant qualification (counselling, psych/ social work etc)
• Evaluate, network and connect resources in developing sustainable programmes and services
• Knowledge and awareness of the school system in MOE (worked in MOE for 5 yrs)

Core Competencies:

• Visionary
• Leadership in implementing change
• Pioneering, able to create systems and processes
• Well connected and informed of emerging sector trends

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

• Minimum 5 years in MOE or community agency for youths.
