About The Role


• Work with leadership team to initiate short, medium and long-term strategies and action plans in line with objectives of YS.
• Review changing policies and evolving environment and take appropriate measures to increase sectoral presence for YS.
• Design, plan and manage the implementation and service improvements of programmes and services
• Co-lead development of programme and take lead in overseeing and managing outcome indicators, standard requirements and statistical reporting required by private and government funders.
• Engage and enhance relations with partners, stakeholders and schools
• Network and collaborate with community partners and stakeholders in the region so as to enhance service provision for service users, secure resources to ensure effective delivery of programmes and contribute towards programme and community development.
• Co-lead in cultivating potential funders and donors to adopt long-term funding of YS flagship programmes, identify potential funders and donors and involve in effective relationship management for successful acquisition of programme funding by private donors and foundations.
• Support the organisation of programme and services sub-committee meetings and quarterly service review meetings.
• Responsible for the recruitment, selection, onboarding, performance reviews, appraisal and development of the staff team.

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

Degree holders in Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Education or related discipline.
Preferably 5 years working experience and at least 2 years’ experience in managing and leading teams.
Candidates with experience in working with young persons would be preferred.

Core Competencies:

Ability to work independently to conceptualize, design, deliver and evaluate programmes would be required.
Ability to lead cross functional, core changes and non core process within a large organization.

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

Adaptable and fast, capable of balancing priorities and move quickly in a rapidly changing environment. Independent self starter.
Able to partake in sports and physical activities when needed.
