About The Role
• Design, develop and conduct work experience programme • Design and customise teaching resources to support the teaching and learning • Design and conduct pre-placement training and assessment • Conduct task analysis to ensure that the task is re-designed or accommodation is made to suit the capability of the student • Monitor students’ progress and performance on the job • Evaluate and provide feedback to students for improvement • Provide career counselling to students • Equip students with pre-work skills such as grooming and interview skills • Conduct career profiling assessment to identify strength and interest of students • Plan and conduct career preparation activities such as site visits, field trips, school-based or community-based work experience for all vocational-education students • Carry out job matching based on profiles of partners and students • Provide job coaching or job support for students • Working with industry partners, volunteers, parents to support the teaching and learning of students, job support, skills development • Engage industry partners, volunteers, parents and work with them closely to ensure sustained and meaningful partnership • Maintain the Work Experience database or system • Process documentation required for attachment, including setting up CVs of students to be placed • Support school’s strategic focus in assigned committee and taskforce work (e.g. school events, activities, outreach efforts)
Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:
• Good command of the English language • Preferred work experience - 1 to 2 years in the field of job coaching or training
Core Competencies:
• Be resourceful and able to work independently as well as in a team
Preferred achievements / characteristics:
• Strong interest in working with youths with special needs
