Applications are invited from qualified experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist to work in a home visiting and centre based Infant Toddler Early Intervention Program and provide OT support for the Assistive Technology Programme of Down Syndrome Association (Singapore). This is a full time (42.5 hours a week) position and it may require working on Saturdays. The successful appointee will have:1. The ability to develop Individual Plans identifying goals and specific teaching strategies based on assessment outcomes in association with the family/child's team.2. The ability to monitor and evaluate processes using a systems approach to early intervention.3. Integrate the above information into well written reports.4. Willing to complete First Aid with AED training within the first six months of employment.
The successful appointee will have;1. A Diploma or Bachelor of Science (OT) Registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) Singapore and preferably a member of the Singapore Association of Occupational Therapists (SAOT).2. A minimum of two to three years' clinical experience.
1. Experience or the ability to adapt to working within a socio-cultural early childhood intervention perspective.2. Proven experience working in a trans disciplinary team.3. Proven experience of collaborating successfully with families of young children with special needs.
1. Understanding of complex cultural situations.2. Proven experience of working with young children and adults with a range of developmental and behavioural needs.3. Experience or the ability to adapt to the use and implementation of authentic, socio-cultural assessment processes.
