About The Role

Establish guidelines and policies for the operations of the Goodwill, Rehabilitation and Occupational Workshop (GROW) within the NCSS, Collective Agreement and Best Practices Guidelines and with the aim of improving efficiency, operations and morale of the staff and the trainees.

1. General Operations
• Maintain inventory of all fixed assets of the GROW
• Establish Budgets, Goals and Deliverables
• Staff and Support Staff Administration
• Trainee Administration
• Attend and Organise Sub-Committee meeting
• Association Annual General Meeting
• Maintain a high profile and Image of the GROW

2. Business Development
• Develop and review business plans to bring in more businesses and revenue for GROW
• Value added activities such as fulfilment of contracts, training and management of the business development
• Develop and review training plans for the business unit that is relevant to the aim of bringing in more businesses to the GROW

3. GROW Physical Building and Facilities
• Establish guidelines and policies with the aim of maintaining a high level of safety and cleanliness (hygienic) of the surrounding
• Ensure that the facilities are properly maintained etc

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

• Degree or Diploma graduate with considerable years of relevant working experience
• Working experience in a VWO or vocational day rehabilitation centre is a must

Core Competencies:

• Familiar with the charity funding model
• Strong interest and passion to serve people with multiple disabilities
• Effective communicator and a good listener who is firm and fair
• Efficient with organizational skills and able to leverage technology

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

• Able to take stress and has high emotional stability
• Analytical with problem-solving and decision-making skills
• A good team-player who is also able to lead and work with cross functional teams to achieve project goals
