Canossaville Children and Community Services is a Catholic Social Service Organization which operates a child-centered learning environment fully committed to collaboration with parents, dedicated to formation of hearts and devoted to provide guidance and holistic development of our children. We operate an integrative preschool and student care centre for children aged between 18 months to 14 years.

About The Role
Curriculum and Instructional Excellence
Develop and review curriculum, pedagogy and assessment to optimise students’ abilities to cope within a classroom setting Assess students’ behaviours using functional behaviour analysis and design appropriate interventions to optimize student engagement Identify and develop effective and appropriate assessments e.g. curriculum-based assessments and monitor strategies Create an environment of trust and respect with students and families Manage the health, safety, and welfare of students and the learning environment Enable the inclusion of students in various settings Mentor and provide training, consultation, support and strategies to staff to manage SENS with moderate to high needs Manage a caseload of students for direct and group work Holistic Student Development Take on key worker role for caseload of students Provide leadership and guidance to inter-sector meetings with different stakeholders Lead in projects related to student behaviour and learning Utilize PBIS and evidence-based strategies, techniques to support students in their learning environment Coach teachers in lesson planning and collaborating with families to achieve desired outcomes for all students Use strategies to promote and encourage students to develop self-confidence and independence Supervise and monitor the progress of intervention and strategies provided for students Guide the team in times of emergency situations
Share knowledge to expand existing capability
Lead and model quality teaching and learning for the teaching team Guide the team towards excellence in curriculum, pedagogy and assessment practices Mentor the team in performance improvement, reflective practice and facilities skill development
Experienced with good knowledge and role competency
Mentor the team to ensure high standards in service delivery Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive relationships and foster a collaborative atmosphere An exemplary team player capable to apply critical thinking and judgment
Preferred achievements / characteristics
Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or Diploma in Special Education (DISE at NIE)
Preferably at least 5 years of relevant experience Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
