About The Role


• Cares and nurture every child. Demonstrates a passion for the subject of teaching
• Delivers clear and effective lessons using a variety of relevant teaching strategies for students with autism
• Works with HOD and plays an important role in the organisation of curriculum and supporting programmes to facilitate student learning
• Exhibits deep commitment to the holistic education and development of his students
• Works collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team and with parents in providing quality education and care for the students
• Guides or coaches junior staff or Teacher Aides
• Upholds dignity of profession, champions professional standards and demonstrates sense of mission; encourages others in the team in upholding these values
• Understands students diverse learning and developmental needs, interests, abilities and potential through observations, diagnoses and discussions (with students, parents and colleagues), and adapts approaches accordingly
• Attends to the administrative tasks in the running of the class

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

• Polytechnic diploma or degree

Core Competencies:

• Preferably 3 years of experience at primary level
• Familiar with SPED and the national curriculum

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

• Experience working with children with autism will be an advantage
