SAMH manages the Activity Hub, where psychosocial rehabilitative programmes are conducted to assist residents in their recovery from mental illness and to reintegrating them into the community. Activity Hub services include occupational therapy, social work, psychological services and vocational placements.

Purpose

To promote mental wellness, positive and healthy behaviours, thereby improving the quality of life for the residents. To assess and provide intervention for psychological, behavioural, emotional and interpersonal issues resulting from, or related to physical or mental illnesses.

Core Duties

Conduct psychoeducation to educate and help residents to cope with mental illness
Provide individualized intervention based on residents needs and goals
Provide counselling for residents and work collaboratively in a disciplinary team towards rehabilitation goals
Develop and conduct talks and workshops on mental health
Compile monthly statistics reports
Assist in daily operations and coordinating festive events for residents
