REACH Community Services Society (REACH) was founded in 1998 by Grace Assembly of God to help the hurting and needy in our community who are not able to receive help directly from the Church.

Registered as a society separate from the Church in 1998, a charitable organization in 1999, and a full member of National Council Social Service (NCSS) in 2000, she became, and has been an approved Institution of Public Character (IPC) since 2009.

RCSS offers community care and support services to individuals and families through various community projects in our current 6 touchpoints. We seek to reach out to the least, the lost and the lonely; regardless of race, language or religion. In the past year, we served and positively impacted over 4,000 lives through our team of dedicated staff, volunteers as well as the partnership of generous givers.

About The Role

- Plan, develop, and manage engagement programme held at designated neighbourhood touchpoints for registered seniors within the Senior Centre.

- Allocate appropriate resources, recruitment of seniors , volunteers , partners for the programmes, and to plan and execute publicity for such events.

-Supervise and train volunteers , partners in the running of the above programmes and provide administrative support to volunteers , partners involved in programme.

-Monitor client safety and well-being.

- Make appropriate referrals to Social Service Agencies, government agencies and grassroots as necessary.

- Monitor the AAS (Alert Alarm System) and SC phone and be responsible for its maintenance.

- Conduct community outreach within the vicinity of the service area and perform needs assessment to ascertain service needs and gaps of the senior residents.

- Fully conversant and able to translate in Malay , Mandarin and English, ability to converse in Hokkien , Teochew will be a bonus, due to clients being seniors.

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

- Possess technical diploma certificate or relevant certification
- Familiarity with live-stream or data-entry and administration is preferred.

Core Competencies:

- Passion for Seniors
- A good team player
- Dynamic and self-motivated
- Good Communication and Interpersonal skills
- Ability to host or deliver programmes in front of a crowd of 10 – 80 seniors is a requirement.

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

- Experience in social services not essential
