Since October 2011, Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities (THKMC) was incorporated as a charity with an IPC status to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large.

THKMC provides assistance to the various groups in our community through more than 70 services and programmes for adults, families, elderly including persons with disabilities - reaching out to more than 44,000 people in the community.

THKMC is the charity arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, With its mission “To serve mankind”, Thye Hua Kwan endeavours to help anyone in need with full respect to their race, colour, creed, language, culture and religion.

About The Role

Client Care
• Ensure services received are satisfactory and on time (meals on wheels, housekeeping, personal hygiene etc);
• Gentle reminder to any residents who are going for medical appointment;
• Ensure medical transport and medical escort are available for those require such services; and
• Liaise with community partners, hospital, polyclinic, CFC, family members on other services if required.

Administration work
• Update Progress Notes for each resident;
• Every resident should have their own individual file and all relating documentation should be filed accordingly;
• Ensure all emails (Government agencies, community partners, and so forth are read and attended to);
• Submission of relevant reports are adhere to;
• All assets, either purchased and donated by sponsors are recorded accordingly; and
• Ensure all assets are tagged in accordance to Fixed Assets List.

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

• GCE ‘N’ levels or NITEC or SSTI Diploma in Social Service, Psychology, Counseling or any other related disciplines

Core Competencies:

• Previous experience in social work or related field or work with older adults in long term care is desirable
• Must have a person-centered approach when assisting seniors
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills in the eldercare and social service sector
• Able to work in a team environment

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and has the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, seniors and their family and caregivers, community partners and the general public
• Must possess a positive attitude and has initiative and responsibility
