About The Role

Bukit Batok Home for the Aged is a residential care facility for male and female destitute persons managed by 4S and established by the Ministry of Social and Family Development under the Destitute Persons Act.


- Candidate must possess at least a diploma, degree, professional degree in Nursing or equivalent
- Candidate must be a State Registered Nurse with valid certificate by the Singapore Nursing Board
- Candidate must be willing to work in a residential care facility for males and females
- Candidate must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident of Singapore

Job Description:

- Carry out preventive and curative medical services under the guidance of the doctor and head nurse
- Oversee the general health of the residents, participate in and supervise medical and nursing care routine
- Supervise and assess the performance of nursing aides and health attendants
- Assist and carry out emergency situations in the Home

The Staff Nurse will report to the Head (Nursing and Therapy).

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

- Ability to carry out preventive and curative medical services under the guidance of the doctor and head nurse
- Ability to act accordingly in medical emergencies
- Ability to monitor vital signs
- Ability to assist in residents personal grooming and personal hygiene issues

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

-Experience working in a residential care facility is an added advantage.
-Must be willing to work rotating shifts including weekend duties
