WINGS Counselling Centre

WINGS Counselling Centre runs Family Support and Counselling Programme (FSCP). It is an integrated programme for children, youths, individuals, couples, and families from ages between 2.5 and 65 years old. The aim of the programme is to help clients enhance the quality of their personal, social, emotional, behavioural, family, and marital life, while overcoming developmental or other challenges that they face throughout the various stages of life. The service is open to anyone seeking help, regardless of their ethnicity or religious affiliation.

About The Role

The Senior Counsellor assists the Director in supervising other counsellors and interns. This includes case management and documentation. Additionally, the Senior Counsellor conducts counselling sessions and supports others in managing challenging cases. The Senior Counsellor works closely with the Director and other members in the leadership team in strategic planning.
a) conduct therapeutic counselling and relevant intervention to clients.
b) provide regular and ad hoc Supervision to junior staff, interns and others.
c) conduct Home visits when necessary in consultation with the Director.
d) maintain consistent updated case notes of clients progress in the CMS and provide written feedback to clients and external agencies.
e) provide monthly and ad-hoc reports.
f) organise, conduct, co-ordinate and implement support independently.
g) assist the Director in any other duties related to counselling and management.

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

- Masters in Counselling or Social Work or Psychology
- Registered Counsellor and Registered Supervisor with SAC (Singapore Association for Counselling)

Core Competencies:

- 8-10 year of Counselling experience (experience in Family Therapy, Couples Therapy advantageous)
- Supervision (counsellors and interns)
- Advantageous to have experience in organising and facilitation of group and community work.

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

- Good interpersonal skills
- Team player with good leadership skills
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and at least Mandarin or Malay or Tamil
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office: Words, Excel and Powerpoint
