Through our Community & Youth Services (CYS) Division, and management of the Singapore Boys’ Hostel (SBHL) and the Community Rehabilitation Centre (CRC), Trybe provides youth with guidance and offer support for their families and communities by engaging them in our services spanning across developmental, prevention, intervention and rehabilitation work.

About The Role

Caseworker will be working with youth, between the age of 12 to 21.

List of responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Befriending and engaging with potential clients in the institutions during In-Care phase;
- Mentoring / Counseling / Interventions for the client during Aftercare phase;
- Identifying and developing the client’s pro-social interests and strengths (Asset-Building);
- Identifying and connecting clients to the appropriate community resources for financial social assistance;
- Documentation of Case Notes;
- Internal Case Review;
- Supporting law enforcement agencies.

Department: Rehabilitation & Reintegration Services
Reports to Head of Department

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

- Knowledge of specialized theories and techniques to assess a case holistically using the relevant tools within the organisation;
- Ability to conceptualize and formulate case plan that is relevant, realistic and achievable;
- Ability to engage stakeholders to develop solutions in community work.

Core Competencies:

- Able to work well with team members to deliver social service outcomes;
- Take responsibility in helping clients in addressing their needs;
- Willingness to coach and mentor each individual client.

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

- Degree in Social Work/Psychology or other relevant degree from NUS/ Monash/SUSS or any other recognised university;
- Experience in youth engagement;
- Added advantage if candidate has prior experience working with youth-at-risk.
