Gladiolus Place

Gladiolus Place is a non-profit residential Home dedicated to providing teenage girls a refuge and a place to call their home. Gladiolus Place reaches out to vulnerable youths in need of care and protection, and who are facing or at risk of abuse, neglect, delinquency and wayward behaviours. Through the healing and renewal processes they undergo during their stay, Gladiolus Place seeks to restore these young females to their families and communities as transformed individuals.

About The Role

Provide case supervision, training and mentoring to the new and current social workers, caseworkers and interns
Oversee and ensure the delivery of quality therapeutic programs to residents and families
Provide Casework and Counselling to teenage girls in a Residential setting
Liaise, collaborate with, and provide information to external partners and stakeholders
Coordinate and manage all external appointments of the residents
Assess risks and needs of residents and their families and formulate the Individual Care Plan (ICP) for each resident accordingly.
Ensure execution of ICP planned action according to goals, in close collaboration with care staff and programs team
Provide counselling to resident’s family, and conduct restorative work between residents and their families
Monitor daily incidents and progress of residents
Provide inputs at weekly Disciplinary Committee conferences and ensure execution of outcomes
Ensure and maintain accurate and updated resident records
Prepare, review and submit all regular and ad-hoc reports
Provide support to care staff team on risks of residents and families, and needs, and provide professional inputs to support behavior management
Conduct group work with residents and with their families to equip them with the necessary life skills
Hold administration functions for both external and online systems such as CANS, Gladiator etc
Undertake any other duties as and when specified by the Head of Home

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

Knowledge of out-of-home care landscape and community-based resources
Able to work well and tactfully with stakeholders
Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures

Demonstrate understanding and respect for all roles in the organisation
Objective, fair and transparent
Able to work independently
Able to respond to emergencies outside work hours (round the clock facility)
