The job purpose is to support the functions of SANA Step Up Centres. The social work assistant is expected to utilise evidence-based practices and provide professional delivery in managing offenders, coordinate and implement programmes and conduct outreach plans. He or She will be part of the Aftercare Department and will be expected to work closely with other stakeholders and other community resources.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Provide case management services and brief intervention strategies to walk-in and referred ex-offenders and their families. 2. Support planning, implementation and review of programmes and services at SANA Step Up Centres. 3. Engagement and collaboration with community agencies in the provision of case management services and monitoring and assessing quality of services provided4. Ensure administrative tasks are completed diligently.
1. Minimum a diploma in Social Work, Psychology or counselling2. Fresh entry welcomed3. Good grasp of Substance Use Addiction, and other relevant casework theories
1. Comfortable to work with offenders and their families2. Able to work independently, strong team player with positive attitude
1. Able to work on some evenings (6PM - 9.30PM) and up to 25 hours per week.2. Proficient in English language and able to converse in other languages.
