Parkinson Society Singapore (PSS) operates Singapore’s only Parkinson Centre. Set up in 1996, PSS offers numerous programmes for People with Parkinson and their caregivers, such as physiotherapy, speech therapy and other therapeutic programmes, as well as activities like Tai Chi, yoga, kickboxing, calligraphy, karaoke singing, caregiver workshops, emotional freedom technique, etc., all aimed at improving the lives of People with Parkinson and their caregivers. Our mission is to promote awareness and understanding of Parkinson and related disorders by educating patients, caregivers and their communities, and by supporting them holistically in their journey with Parkinson.

About The Role

Role:
Assists Centre Manager in management of scope related to communications (newsletters, website, social media, printed materials or publications); organising major awareness and fundraising events; media relations; community partnership projects with corporate supporters and schools; volunteer management, and any other tasks assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
- Creates engaging and creative messages, collaterals and publicity materials to support PSS’ programmes and activities, including fundraising campaigns
- Builds and manages social media content and traffic for PSS website, Facebook and other relevant channels or networks
- Responsible for development, production and dissemination of quarterly newsletter, PD exercise booklet, annual report, brochures, posters, etc.
- Management of online and on-site enquiries
- Assists in handling media enquiries, interviews and media liaison where required
- Management of community partnership projects with schools, corporate companies, sponsors, etc.
- Management of volunteer recruitment, volunteer communications and membership database
- Any other tasks assigned

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Mass Communication, Marketing or related field
• Good command in both written and spoken English

Core Competencies:

• Working experience and relevant skills in marketing communications functions will be an advantage
• Excellent interpersonal skills and passionate about working in community care setting

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

• Good organization skills, self-driven
• Service-oriented, resourceful, meticulous, multi-tasking, problem-solving skills
• Both an independent worker and a team player
• Fresh graduates are welcome
• Prior working or volunteering experience in community care setting will be an advantage
