About The Role

You will work with youths, families, and the community to enhance family strengths and resources to provide a better functioning society. By providing case management, counselling, service linkage and coordination in support of youth with mild to moderate mental health concerns in the community.

-Conduct psychological assessments for intake of youth referred to the programme
-Provide youth assessed to be requiring therapeutic interventions with therapy, and counselling to support youth in coping with emotional difficulties
-Provide psychoeducation to youth and caregiver to learn to better manage mental health concerns, and crisis preparation and safety planning
-Develop and formulate individual and family support plan for enhancement of the youth and family functional capabilities
-Work collaboratively with family and community partners to support Reintegration of youth and family into community
-Participate in internal as well as external case conference with community agencies, i.e. hospitals, schools and social service agencies as needed
-Provide after office hours support to youth, and caregivers as and when the need arises
-Maintaining of progress notes, reports on youths’ progress and review of goals and performance at 6 monthly intervals and maintain audit ready files
-Conduct talks, facilitate public forums and outreach events as necessary
-To carry out any other duties as assigned by the agency

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology
Experience working in mental health setting preferred
Patient and passionate about working in social service and with persons of different needs

Core Competencies:

Strong interest to work with youth and their family
Ability to work in a team and possess good communication skills
Responsible and have good time management skill

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

Ability to adapt to changes and take on extra work scopes
