Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society (CHWSS) is a non-profit organisation established in 2004 to serve the community and help the needy and disadvantaged regardless of race, language or religion. CHWSS was granted the Institution of Public Character (IPC) status by the Commissioner of Charities in 2004 and has maintained the status to date.

The core group of beneficiaries that CHWSS serves are single seniors staying on their own, many of whom are without family support and are of low income. CHWSS provides care and support for this group of needy individuals in several ways to empower them to lead a healthy and active lifestyle, subsequently to pass on with a peaceful mind.

About The Role

The Fundraising Manager must provide administrative support for the day-to-day operation of the fundraising department and manage fundraising and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects to contribute to the overall mission of the Association.

The incumbent will work closely with the Executive Director in fundraising and meeting the set target by the Board of Management.

Job Description:

1. Manage existing fundraising projects and develop new projects.
2. Identify community partners (business and community organisations) to fund projects costs.
3. Prepare funding proposals to deliver presentations, donation appeals and appreciation letters.
4. Coordinate approved corporate CSR and community projects.
5. Communicate and promote mission, vision and programmes to external stakeholders and potential donors.
6. Donor Management – maintain and update records and liaise with different business units
7. Maintain a high level of confidentiality concerning prospects and donors
8. Provide detailed reports to the Donors concerning the utilization of donations.

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Core Competencies:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong in planning and execution with the ability to drive processes and delivery
Able to work independently and self-directed
Possess critical thinking, strategic planning, effective time management skills

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

Degree or Diploma in Business, Public Relations.
Min 3-5 years or more of experience in planning and leading non-profit fundraising.
Able to start immediately
