Through our Community & Youth Services (CYS) Division, and management of the Singapore Boys’ Hostel (SBHL) and the Community Rehabilitation Centre (CRC), Trybe provides youth with guidance and offer support for their families and communities by engaging them in our services spanning across developmental, prevention, intervention and rehabilitation work.

About The Role

Team Coach will be working with male juvenile offenders (client), between the age of 16 to 21, in an institutional facility, which focus on community rehabilitation. They are required to work in shifts.

List of responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Oversee the clients on a daily basis; manage the welfare, discipline and standards of regimentation in the Rehab institution;
- Plan and coordinate the daily routine or programmes for the clients;
- Able to build strong relationship (as fatherly or brotherly figures) with these clients and be role models for the clients;
- Ensure safety and security of premises.

Department: Operations
Reports to: Department Head of the Operations and Coaching Department

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

1. Interact positively with client;
2. Enforce discipline in a fair and respectful manner;
3. Ability to plan and coordinate daily routine / programmes
5. Knowledge and ability to comply with safety and emergency requirement
6. Possess effective interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders.

Core Competencies:

1. Able to work well with team members to deliver social service outcomes;
2. Take responsibility in helping clients in addressing their needs;
3. Willingness to coach and mentor each individual client;
4. Strong communication and writing skills.
5. Good analytical and problem solving skills

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

GCE ‘O’ Levels, with min. 3 years of relevant working experience, or a relevant Diploma in Social Science, Added advantage if candidate has prior experience working with male juvenile offenders, Good knowledge, experiences with social work interventions, social policies & community engagement.
