Parkinson Society Singapore (PSS) operates Singapore’s only Parkinson Centre. Set up in 1996, PSS offers numerous programmes for People with Parkinson and their caregivers, such as physiotherapy, speech therapy and other therapeutic programmes, as well as activities like Tai Chi, yoga, kickboxing, calligraphy, karaoke singing, caregiver workshops, emotional freedom technique, etc., all aimed at improving the lives of People with Parkinson and their caregivers. Our mission is to promote awareness and understanding of Parkinson and related disorders by educating patients, caregivers and their communities, and by supporting them holistically in their journey with Parkinson.

About The Role

To uphold quality Parkinson classes conducted at the specialised centre, working with the Therapy Assistant and other Physiotherapists.

Key responsibilities:
- To conduct physiotherapy (PT) classes; assessments; 1-1 rehab sessions for People with Parkinson.
- To work closely with Programme Team on class allocation and PT-related matters.
- To oversee training and development of Therapy Assistant(s); as well as PSS PT Volunteers’ training.
- To oversee and tidy up PT, OT, ST documentation as well as ensuring compliance to MOH audit(s) related to PT, OT, ST and overall Centre processes or SOPs related to MOH, health, hygiene, infection control matters.
- To assist in organising and tracking community training programme and annual workshop for People with Parkinson.
- To support PSS in major public awareness and fundraising events such as Move To Beat Parkinson, hospital PD forums, etc..
- Other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned.

Reporting structure:
- Reports to Centre Manager

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

- Minimum 3-5 years working experience with valid practicing certificate from AHPC Singapore.
- Excels in Microsoft Office and simple data analysis.

Core Competencies:

- Good leadership and organised team player who has cheerful disposition.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

- Priority given to those who obtained related qualifications in the related field, including LSVT BIG, Parkinson Warrior and PWR certification
