About The Role

We are looking for a Lead Allied Professional (AP) to play a key role in overseeing the case management of the assigned AP team to ensure that clients receive effective and coordinated intervention services for quality outcomes. Concurrently appointed as a Principal Therapist, this is a dynamic role requiring the post-holder to provide hands-on leadership of therapy staff.

Key responsibilities include:

Effective leadership of the AP team, through
- Working closely with the teaching team and leading a collaborative and person and family-centred approach to therapeutic planning, intervention and evaluation
- Facilitating the team’s consideration of relevant inputs for clinical decisions or when necessary to make the decision
- Coordinating the work of the therapists to monitor the deployment of intervention, the progress of clients, and evaluation of outcomes

Clinical oversight of services by
- Staying up to trends in practices for APs, and designing evidence-based practices that improve the quality of the services to achieve programme outcomes
- Ensuring service alignment and quality of services
- Effectively managing caseloads of the APs as per guidelines and work plans

Proactively managing team and staff development in these areas:
- Service challenges
- Performance management
- Professional developmental needs and career development

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

- Registered as an Allied Health Professional under the Allied Health Professions Act
- Posses a good Degree or Master in Therapy (SLT or PT or OT) or Applied Psychology

Core Competencies:

- Energetic and agile
- Demonstrates a high understanding of professional standards and development in the areas of therapy and disability issues

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

- Typically 5 years post qualification experience working in a similar setting with at least 4 years in preceding grade and 3 years’ experience in staff supervision and management
