Melrose Care, Childrens Aid Society (CAS) strives to play a bigger role in preventive work for vulnerable children, youths, and underserved families. Located at Blk 557 Woodlands Drive 53, Melrose Care is a regional counselling centre with specialized therapies such as Art Therapy, Play Therapy and TFCBT for children, youth, and families in need in the community.

Our Team
Our multidisciplinary team of qualified mental health care and social care professionals specialize in working with children, youth, and families. We work collaboratively with other professionals such as social workers, school counselors, teachers, and doctors in a child or youth life. We also partner with other social service agencies such as Family Service Centres (FSCs) and Children and Youth Homes to advance and make available therapy and counselling services to the most vulnerable in the community.

About The Role

- Oversee the identification, planning, development, administration, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of existing and new programmes and activities that meet the needs of the community.
- Network and liaise with relevant organizations, including schools, family service centres grassroots organisations and other agencies in promoting the Centre’s services and monitor service delivery.
- Work with the Executive Director to plan and prepare the annual budget for the Centre.
- Prepare reports and attend meetings of the Counselling and Psychological Service Centre Sub-Committee and CAS Executive Committee as well as essential meetings with MSF, NCSS and related parties.
- Provide direction, supervision and guidance to the Multidisciplinary clinical team and ensure compliance to regulations and administrative procedures. This includes holding internal team supervision and multidisciplinary team consultation (with appointed external experts) regularly.
- Undertake the responsibility in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Counselling and Psychological Service Centre.
- Promote and strengthen community’s awareness and utilization of the Centre’s services and programmes.
- Build, maintain and enhance the CAS’s culture among the staff team in the Centre through the implementation of CAS’s HR, Operations and other policies.
- Involved or lead in organisation-wide project or programme as assigned by the Executive Director.




Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

- Ability to lead and manager a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to oversee and manage a social service or clinical service centre
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with good organisational and time management

Core Competencies:

- 5-10 years of clinical experience in social work, counselling or psychology.
- 3-5 years of experience in overseeing social service programmes or delivery of clinical services
- Preferably with at least 3 years of clinical supervision experience
