St. Andrew’s Autism Centre (SAAC) is an integrated centre for the education, training, and care of persons with autism and their families.

SAAC comprises St. Andrew’s Autism School (SAAS) and St. Andrew’s Adult Autism Services (SAAAS), serving children, youths and adults with autism. SAAAS runs St. Andrew’s Adult Home (Sengkang) [SAAH] which will receive its first residents in April 2019, and two Day Activity Centres (DACs) at different locations.

SAAH is Singapore’s first residential facility designed and built to meet the needs of adults of autism.

We invite interested and qualified persons to join us to meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of our students or adult clients and residences; to provide behavioural support, life skills training, family support and public education.

SAAC seeks to enable people with autism to lead dignified and meaningful lives.

About The Role

You will be responsible for the maintenance of Company’s building and facilities including the following areas:
1. Building
• Ensure the proper upkeep and maintenance of the building air-cons, mechanical and electrical equipment
2. Landscaping
• Ensure the proper upkeep and maintenance of the landscape by outsourced provider
3. Housekeeping
• Ensure the cleanness of the premises to maintain clean and hygienic environment
• Implement preventative maintenance program e.g. pest control
4. Laundry
• Oversees the laundry services to ensure that all apparels are washed and distributed timely for resident’s use
5. Meal
• Oversees the meal arrangement with caterer to ensure timely deliveries, quality of food and quality according to the specifications
6. Procurement
• Manages contractors and vendors including reviewing of contracts, scope of work, service quality etc
• Develop and regularly reviews and procurement SOPs
• Ensure that the procurement process is in accordance to SOPs and all tender procedure and decisions are kept in strictest confidentiality
• Ensure proper inventory control
• Supervises procurement and front desk staff
• Supervises drivers including their work schedule and vehicle maintenance schedule etc
• Responsible for the preparation and proposal of the operations support budget
• Exercise prudent budgetary operations
• Any other duties and projects as assigned from time to time


Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

• Ensures that all outsourced security staff clearly and fully understands our security SOPs and maintain vigil
• Ensures all the residents, staffs, clients, visitors, volunteers etc while on the premises are adequately protected

Core Competencies:

• Responsible for the workplace safety including risk management, carries out bi-annually emergency procedures
• Ensures all health, environmental and safety standards and legislated requirements are complied with

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, with relevant certification in facilities management
• At least 3 years of related work experience, preferably in Homes or similar environment
• Flexibility to occasionally work on weekends where required
