Building Acceptance and offering hope to people with intellectual disability
- To ensure the safety and well being of clients under your charge- To implement and monitor progress of clients individual Care Plan Goals- To be responsible and accountable for the overall wellbeing of clients both in the day activity centre (DAC) and in the community- To build upon and increase on clients’ current abilities vis-a-vis their activities of daily living skills, community living skills, social and interpersonal skills and to integrate them into the community- To maintain open communication with caregivers on understanding the clients’ needs and further development- To help clients achieve a higher level of emotional maturity- Any other duties as and when assigned to you.
Relevance working experience of working with People with Disabilities (PWDs) - especially intellectual disability including those with autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy and epilepsyGood command of English (written and oral)Basic computer knowledge especially Ms Word and Excell
Effective communicatorSociable with good interpersonal skillsProactive, resourceful and organizedAdaptable and willing to learnIndependent as well as a good team player
