New Life Community Services (New Life or NLCS) is a social service agency in Singapore. We are passionate about serving the community and mentoring the next generation. We currently operate three childcare centres, three youth hubs, three student care centres as well as conduct programmes for children, youths and seniors. We provide financial assistance to marginalised families with schooling children and provide casework management and counselling to handle issues of poverty and debts.

Over the years, we have reached out to thousands of individuals from different religions and races, including children, youths and families – with absolutely no strings attached.

About The Role

The Job
This role will work closely with the Director of Corporate Services and the HR team to roll out the different HR initiatives and interventions laid out in the 5-year HR strategy. This role is a critical member of the team that will make the HR transformation journey a success.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide oversight and guidance to HR team
• Partner with the leadership team to develop and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy relating to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning
• Work with the team to operationalise the HRIS. This includes partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of the process and procedures.
• Drive HR OD project to fruition and incorporating the changes into the current HR systems and processes.
• Implement talent management strategies.
• Coach and mentor leadership team

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

1) At least 5 years of HR managerial experience in HR
2) Strong leadership skills
3) Strategic thinker and analytical
4) Strong communication and presentation skills
5) Project management skills
6) Facilitation skills

Core Competencies:

1) Passion to work in a social sector agency
2) Team player and ability to work with staff at all levels

General degree
