About The Role

You should possess a passion to work with children and youths (aged 7 to 21 years old) who had experienced physical, emotional, psychological or sexual abuse within their family.

The role requires you to provide:
(1) Case management
- Set goals and follow up with intervention plans with residents and family.
- Implement safety plan and behavioural management plan for residents.
- Conduct assessment of resident needs with assessment tools.
- Engage internal and external stakeholders and discuss plans with the family.
- Timely review of cases in case review meetings

(2) Residential management
- To ensure adherence to Home rules and dormitory’s structure.
- To ensure safety among the residents in the dormitory.
- To implement rewards and discipline for the residents.

(3) Para counselling
- Ensure residents emotional and psychological needs are met.
- Work on areas of concerns and process incidences.

(4) Team leader
- Management functions such as overseeing dormitories budgeting and expenditure, following up on case reports and interventions for residents in the dormitory.
- To build communication and morale between staff in the dormitory.
- To encourage growth within the team.


Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

- Degree in Social Work or any related discipline
- Preferably working experience in residential care settings working with children, youth and dysfunctional families.
- Mentoring new caseworkers and working in a culturally diverse team.
- Strong assessment and report writing skills.

Core Competencies:

- Able to show empathy and care towards residents and families.
- Resilient and adaptable during times of stress.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Willingness to work as a team.
- Maintains appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality

Able to maintain amicable working relationships with staff from other departments
