Stroke Support Station (S3) is an innovative and growing charity in Singapore that supports stroke survivors and caregivers in their post stroke care management when they return to the community. S3 is supported by dedicated volunteers who provides service-based, skill-based and event-based volunteering services in the charity to stroke survivors as they embark on the journey towards recovery.
About The Role
The incumbent will work alongside the Programme team to manage therapy programmes for stroke survivors. He or she will report to the Rehabilitation Manager. Tech savvy candidate will have opportunities to deploy technologies to facilitate the recovery of stroke survivors as well as be involved in pilot projects to develop innovative solutions to serve the needs of stroke survivors in the community. • Develop and manage therapy programmes and activities for two S3 centres. • Conduct assessments for clients during admission and periodic reviews. • Oversee and conduct therapy programmes involving technologies. • Perform any other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:
• Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy • At least 3 years working experience in physiotherapy with full registration with Allied Health Professions Council
Core Competencies:
• Working experience in acute care setting with stroke patients; candidates with working experience in sports physiology or musculoskeletal conditions has an added advantage. • BCLS trained (Basic Cardiopulmonary Life Support) • Excellent communication skills and strong empathy for patients
Preferred achievements / characteristics:
