Canossaville Children and Community Services is a Catholic Social Service Organization which operates a child-centered learning environment fully committed to collaboration with parents, dedicated to formation of hearts and devoted to provide guidance and holistic development of our children. We operate an integrative preschool and student care centre for children aged between 18 months to 14 years.

About The Role
Curriculum and Instructional Excellence
Support Teachers in the design and implementation of work systems, behaviour supports to optimise students’ abilities to cope within a classroom setting Assist Teachers to guide students’ behaviours using functional behaviour analysis and implement appropriate interventions to optimize student engagement Assist and guide students in carrying out instructions and activities Create an environment of trust and respect with students and families Assist with the health, safety, and welfare of students and the learning environment Support the Teacher to enable the inclusion of students in various settings Support the Teacher to manage a caseload of students for direct and group work Holistic Student Development Play a supporting role to the Teacher for caseload of students Participate in projects related to student behaviour and learning Support the Teacher to utilise PBIS and evidence-based strategies, techniques to support students in theor learning environment Engage students and build a strong relationship with them Use strategies to promote and encourage students to develop self-confidence and independence Assist Teachers to monitor the progress of intervention and strategies provided for students Work closely to assist the Teacher in emergency situations to resolve any immediate safety concerns and implement required processes
Assist to document student learning and behaviour management
Work effectively with stakeholders to plan, implement curriculum, programmes and other educational activities tied to student outcomes Collaborate with stakeholders to support student learning and development in school and at home
Passion for working with students with special educational needs
Good interpersonal and communication skills Team player who is motivated to provide a high standard of student care Good instructional skills Apply critical thinking and judgment in behaviour and classroom management matters
Preferred achievements / characteristics
Minimum GCE “A” level, NITEC, polytechnic diploma or equivalent
Preferable to have the relevant experience of working with students with special educational needs and minimally the desire and passion to help them maximise their potential Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
