MINDS is one of the oldest and largest non-governmental organisations catering to the needs of persons with intellectual disability in Singapore since 1962. Our organisation runs: 4 Special Schools; 3 Employment Development Centres (EDCs); 8 Training and Development Centres (TDCs); 2 Homes (one for adult, one for children) and 1 Hostel (adults) to cater to the educational, vocational, social and welfare needs of persons with intellectual disability.

About The Role

The role of the TO is to execute the day to day programmes and operations of the Centre. The TO plans and executes meaningful, productive work engagement, social, vocational, independent skills training and care services to the trainees, in accordance to the funding and service requirements.
Adheres to Centres guidelines and protocols to ensure the programme is delivered according to service standard.

Programme Management and Development
• Plans, implements, reviews and evaluates Individual and Group Training Plans for trainees and engages in continuous assessment, training and evaluation of trainees holistic development.
• Works collaboratively with Centre STOs, AHPs and Caregivers in planning and implementing Behaviour Regulation Programmes for trainees with behaviours of concern.

Event, Activities and Volunteer Management
• Plans and executes internal and external events and activities organized for trainees development and social integration such as Special Olympics Singapore etc.

Business Unit Operations
• Ensures orders and production schedule are met in good time and quality requirements are met.
• Participates in marketing and sales of trainees products and services.
• Engages in continuous product and service development for Social Enterprise Units and new paid work assignments.

Administrative and Operations
• Provides a safe and conducive learning, training environment and ensures work stations procedures and objectives are managed seamlessly.


Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

• Minimum O Levels or Diploma Holders
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer literacy skills – MS Words, Excel and PowerPoint

Core Competencies:

• Passion to work with people with intellectual disabilities
