PERTAPIS CENTRE FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS provides residential care for young women victim of abuse, coming from dysfunctional families or in conflict with the law. The centre offers shelter, care and protection to 100 women from 14 to 21 years old. We run a variety of programs to facilitate self development, confidence building and life skills development.

About The Role

1. Ensure that residents comply with the Centres Rules and Regulations.
2. Setting up of Individual Care Plan for all residents
3. Responsible for the Clinical Intervention components in the Centre (include counselling and caring services).
5. Work closely with other departments, government agencies, schools in relation to the welfare of residents
7. Assist Deputy Head of Home in submission of reports of all serious incidents and occurrences of unusual and serious nature pertaining to staff and residents to the Homes Management Committee.
8. Work in close liaison with law enforcement, welfare regulators and other related agencies.
9. Interview and assess all residents upon admission and discharge.
10. Prepare reports for submission timely and submit for vetting by the Deputy Head of Home.
11. Ensure that all records, accounts, documents and correspondence are properly maintained, kept current and up to date.
12. Facilitate applications and renewals of Medical Fee Exemption Cards for all residents
13. Facilitate the application and disbursement of the School Pocket Money Fund for the residents.
14. Facilitate group counselling, family sessions, one to one sessions and maintain case recordings.
15. Facilitate home, school and employment visits and other significant tasks
16. Work closely with the residents and their family for successful reintegration back to caregiver
17. Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Head of the Home, Licensee and Governing Board

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

- Proficient in oral and written communication, especially English
- Ability to work with various government agencies to get solutions for the community

Core Competencies:

- Team player, positive, able to multi task
- Ability to handle high volume of reports

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

- Possess a Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Social Science, Counselling or Psychology
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
