About The Role

SAMH manages the Activity Hub, where psychosocial rehabilitative programmes are conducted to assist residents in their recovery from mental illness and to reintegrating them into the community. Activity Hub’s services include occupational therapy, social work, psychological services and vocational placements.

Purpose
Looking for a meaning job with a true purpose, join us in making a difference as a business development officer cum activity assistant. You will ensure smooth operation of SAMH social enterprise programme and events, source new projects for sheltered workshop at Activity Hub.
Business development officer cum activity assistant is a fundamental job as you have to assist in coordinating and manage social enterprise development. Also, conducting social activities and workshops that would be essential in the recovery of our residents. Assisting the reporting officer will ensure that he will be able to put his whole heart into helping others and proving the best care he can. Core Duties:
• Maintain continuous operation of Social Enterprise
• To source for new vendors for sheltered workshop
• Volunteer Management
• Event Management
• To assist in running social recreational activities
• To assist in daily operations
• To assist in overseeing workshops and other work schemes
• Other admin and support duties when required
• Other duties assigned by reporting officer


Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

• Diploma / Bachelor in Business and Management
• Mininum 2 years of relevant experience in mental health or VWO sectors

Core Competencies:

• Effectively bilingual and proficient in local dialects
• Passionate, energetic and enthusiastic

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

• Enjoy working with the elderly
• Independent and able to work in a team
