About The RoleCARE Singapore will be implementing a new community mental health programme providing mentoring training in improving youths’ ability to manage, regulate, and direct emotions toward positive outcomes. This programme is targeted at youths requiring some mental health support, especially those experiencing risk factors such as family dysfunction or poor peer relations.Youth Work Associates will support the Youth Worker and Project Manager in running the programme, including screening, training, and engaging with both volunteer mentors and clients. Working as a team, they will also engage with external stakeholders, e.g., experiential activities.Key responsibilities:Screening and recruitment of volunteer mentors and youth participants• Screening participants and volunteers with teams’ support (mental health assessments and interviews)• Data managementVolunteer Training and Skill Competency• Conducting volunteer training sessions on mental health and facilitation skills• Facilitating small groups among volunteers for debrief • Supporting volunteers, e.g., queries, check-insClient Engagement• Contextualising programme content for small groups• Conducting experiential activities for clients with volunteers• Supporting clients, e.g., queries, check-ins• Basic counselling and crisis management, if required And any other duties that may reasonably be required *Occasional out-of-hours work may be required
• Degree or diploma in Social Services with min. 1 year of relevant experience• Working with older youths and volunteers• Online engagement tools, e.g., social media, surveys, etc.• Basic counselling and crisis management• Microsoft Office • Communication skills
