About The Role

Job Purpose:-
The incumbent will be responsible for the case management of Residential boys.

Job Responsibilities:-
• Carry out admission procedures which include handling telephone inquiries, intake interviews and preparing assessment reports.
• Provide individual and family counselling services as well as groupwork sessions for the boarders or with parent groups.
• Develop ICP (Individual Care Plan) for all boarders admitted. As part of this ICP, you will be required to work closely with other Social Workers, Counsellors, Psychologists and the Programmes or Operations departments.
• Initiate and plan case reviews and ensure that periodic assessment of our boarders are made.
• Keep proper case records and ensure proper documentation of boarders’ personal information and reports.
• Represent the residents professionally in various platforms such as Court Hearings, MSF Reviews, School conferences, etc.
• You are expected to have monthly supervision with your assigned supervisor.
• Plan and implement career guidance and counselling programmes for the boarders in the Home.
• Work in collaboration with the all stakeholders in monitoring the progress of the boys, through the sharing of case related issues and intervention plans.
• Provide counselling to both boarders and their identified caregivers as per issues identified in their ICP
• Run group work sessions for the boarders
• Any other adhoc duties as assigned.



Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

• Executive functioning skills – planning, coordinating, organizing, implementing and evaluating
• Social Work, Counseling skills – assessment and case management
• Understanding of children and adolescence needs, and developmental psychology

Core Competencies:

• Experience in working with children or CYP and their families.

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

• At least Bachelor of Social Work or Recognised Social Work qualifications from SASW
• At least 2 years’ relevant experience in VWO or NPO or Social service sector
• You are required to be flexible in your working hours, according to the needs of the programmes and boarders.
