About The Role

The role of Speech and Language Therapist involves assessing clients, planning interventions, implementing therapy plans, evaluating progress in accordance with the given service delivery model for clients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in the assigned programme. The role also requires conducting caregiver education and teachers training, to equip them with the necessary strategies and skills in supporting the clients learning and development. The role requires working collaboratively in transdisciplinary team comprising of other professionals, teachers, and caregivers for maximising the clients’ skills towards independence and active participation in natural settings. The job scope also entails assisting senior colleagues in projects, specialised clinics, research work, performing departmental operational tasks and participating in continuing education. The individual should possess effective communication, and problem-solving skills.

*Salary will commensurate with experience

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

• Able to assess, diagnose, recommend and plan speech-language treatment programs for
• Implement individual or group therapy sessions.

Core Competencies:

• Strong commitment and motivation to work in Interdisciplinary settings.
• A heart to serve in the special needs sector.

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

•Bachelors or Masters in Speech and Language Pathology or Therapy from a recognized
• Full Registration under AHPC, or eligible for registration under the Allied Health Professions Act

• Excellent communication skills with good command of verbal and written English.
