To help children victims of abuse to re-integrate in society through positive learningThe Home provides care to 80 children and young persons from the age of 4 to 16 years old.They are referred by the Ministry of Social and Family Development and Youth Court for alternative care arrangement.
Job Description1. Ensure that the residents comply with the Homes Rules and Regulations2. Responsible for day to day supervision and care of residents3. Responsible for smooth running of programs in the Centre4. Assist in ensuring the safe custody of the residents under the Centre care 5. Assist in submission of reports of all serious incidents or occurrences of unusual or serious nature pertaining to the residents to the Head of Home 6. Guide and motivate residents to a higher level of behavioural performance and development7. Assist in ensuring that all records, documents and correspondence are updated promptly and filed accordingly8. Conduct regular checks on the facilities and electrical works in the Centre 9. Responsible for collecting and labelling food samples for every meal10. Ensure that kitchen area is clean and tidy at all times11. Maintain safekeeping of all utensils in the kitchen12. Assist in supervision of residents during shower and praying time 13. Support staff in supervision of residents during outings14. Assist Senior Welfare Officer with supervising of landscaping, follow up on pest control routine service work.15. Ensure the general cleanliness and maintenance of the Centre is in running order.16. Attend to donors and visitors to the Centre17. Attend to phone calls and enquiries18. Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Head of the Home, Licensee and Governing Board
1. Ability to model and teach positive values, demonstrate social and emotional competencies2. Ability to develop and maintain a relationship of trust and professionalism with youths
1. Able to work on rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays2. Team player and positive mindset3. Has passion working with youths
1. Minimum N or O Level, Diploma in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling2. Has prior experience in working with and mentoring youths3. Min 1 year experience working in Residential Homes
