1. To participate in the training and teaching of adults with Down syndrome in the areas of:a) Functional and daily living skills to enable them to be least dependent;b) Vocational skills and meaningful living;c) Community inclusion and social skills;d) To case manage assigned clients and communicate with their families as required.2. To assist the Supervisor (Adult Education Services) and the Assistant Director (Services) in developing and planning training sessions and measuring the outcomes, support preparation for job placements and social enterprise projects, and other administrative functions.3. To perform any other duties assigned by the Assistant Director (Services) and the Executive Director.
Diploma in occupational therapy, special education, disability studies, early childhood education, psychology, general education.
Experience in working with persons with special needs/Down syndrome preferred.
Passion, enthusiasm and strong commitment are essential qualities.
