About The Role

• Oversees different Intervention Programmes to suit the needs of the individual students
• Develop and implement strategies to deal with learning and behavior patterns of the students
• Conduct assessments, such as intake or initial screening assessment, progress monitoring, and relevant
assessments to inform suitable placement (educational or vocational) to early intervention and special school children with competence
• Coach key partners to apply educational and behavioural techniques to carry out intervention plans
• Provide regular supervision to psychologist on periodic psychological evaluation and other related assessments to all early intervention or special school children and other clients where necessary
• Initiate and implement new and specialized psychological services
• Participate in projects that involve cross-department interface
• Conduct in-service workshops for parents or caregivers for all programme
• Conduct training for staff for all programme
• Assist HOD in the administration of the department
• Participate in research and programme evaluation projects

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

• Eligible for full membership with Singapore Psychological Society or registration with the Singapore Register of Psychologists

Core Competencies:

• A Master Degree in Educational Psychology
• Relevant clinical experience with children and adolescents preferred

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

• Conversant in learning, emotion and social development skills, child development and classroom management skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team
• A heart to serve in the special needs sector
