Through our Community & Youth Services (CYS) Division, and management of the Singapore Boys’ Hostel (SBHL) and the Community Rehabilitation Centre (CRC), Trybe provides youth with guidance and offer support for their families and communities by engaging them in our services spanning across developmental, prevention, intervention and rehabilitation work.

About The Role

As the Strategy Officer (Community Engagement), the candidate will be expected to oversee the community engagement aspect, such as funding, fund-raising, volunteer management and stakeholder engagement of the company.

List of responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Recommend, plan and develop strategies and framework for the company;
• Coordinate and manage fund application, utilization, monitoring to ensure that the company’s financial status is healthy;
• Coordinate online campaign and support the company with its donation needs;
• Plan, coordinate and execute fundraising events to raise funds for the company’s services.
• Plan, recommend and develop volunteer management strategies, volunteer roadmap, framework and training and development for the Company;
• Engaging external parties to recruit, organize and inspire volunteering;
• Coordinating with the Divisions for volunteers needs, selection, deployment and management of volunteers;
• Develop, manage and execute programmes/events/initiatives that aims to engage and build Trybe’s community;
• Work closely with various stakeholders and lead the division in community engagement efforts.
• Develop communication materials for engagement with key stakeholders.

Reports to the Head of Division


Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:

• Build and manage relationships with major donors or corporations
• Able to strategize volunteer development plans that enhances the services provided
• Able to strategize fund raising and donation management plan that maintains company’s financial health

Core Competencies:

• Strong project management skills, coordination abilities and able to drive change;
• Strong communicator with outstanding presentation, written and verbal skills.

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

• Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communication, Business Finance or equivalent;
• At least 3 years’ experience in Project Management, Fundraising or equivalent.
